Brett Bergeron is a partner and creative director at This Also, a fourteen person product innovation team in New York. He leads challenging projects that range from product vision to technical interface design. Prior to launching a studio, Brett joined Google Creative Lab (2012) to design visual and voice interfaces for Google Glass. His background as a technical designer later established the studio as a resource for early stage hardware products, bringing opportunities to work on the software experience for Ray Super Remote (2014), Project Ara (2015), and Xbox One X (2016).
Brett's passion for clear, thoughtful design solutions is easily seen in other projects at the studio, notably the design of Nike SNKRS Pass (2017). His work on Nike SNKRS Cam (2017), Nike SNKRS Squads (2018), and the Nike SNKRS Bot for Messenger (2018) helped establish Nike as an innovator in augmented reality. Nike’s rapid shift into augmented reality has been covered by Fast Company, Mashable, Engadget, PSFK, and Hypebeast. Today he continues to lead major initiatives at the studio for Samsung, Spotify, and Nike.
Brett studied math and computer science at Louisiana State University. He began his career as a freelance graphic designer. He followed his passion to Huge (2012) where he helped lead user experience design for HBO GO. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife Aubrey and spends his free time outdoors.
